Not offered in 2014                                                                                                            A selection from phenomena and concepts like: the problem of the concept “postcoloniality/postcolonialism” in relationship to colonialism and postmodernism; globalisation and neocolonialism; cultural imperialism; founders of postcolonial studies; Eurocentric discourse; ideology; hegemony; master narrative of Western imperialism; hybridisation; the subaltern as subject; writing back and rewriting; resistance literature; postcolonialism and feminism; postcolonialism and South Africa; canons; study of relevant texts from world literature.
